The concept of Canvas was to design a flexible light which
can be adapted to different shapes an rooms. Canvas is
composed of several layers which include optical, electrical
and thermal design properties. The electrical layer consists
of a strechable system, back-covered by a knitted fabric made
of metallised yarn which works as a soft cooling system.
For the top layer, a non-conductive fabric that is structured
by a deep drawing process is used to stabilize the underlying
optics. Two or more canvas fabrics can be combined with the
help of snap fasteners to larger areas. Every time when Canvas
is moved new light patterns and situations can be formed.
