The task to create a temporary exhibition space for over
500 books in 90 m2 was solved with a modular system
based on a standard shelving system, which is traditionally
used in a vertical position for book storage.
By order conversion into a horizontal table, the system
becomes a presentation space. This provides the ability to
open the book directly and to browse through it. The linear
lines of tables and their accessibility from both sides provokes
communication among the visitors. The use of standard
components is also a very cost effective and simple way to
create a temporary structure.
